Interest rates - RON-denominated loans and deposits
Interest rates are computed according to NBR Regulation No. 4/2021, Title I, Chapter I and III, assuming the provisions of the Regulation (EU) No.1072/2013 of the European Central Bank of 24 September 2013 concerning statistics on interest rates applied by monetary financial institutions (recast) (ECB/2013/34). By December 2014, they have been computed pursuant to NBR Regulation No. 31/2011 and during the period December 2014-December 2021, they have been computed pursuant to NBR Regulation No.4/2014. The calculation base of interest rates on outstanding loans at the end of the reported month does not include nonperforming loans and loans for debt restructuring granted at below market rates. The calculation base of lending rates on new business does not include overdrafts, revolving credit, claims related to credit cards, non-performing loans and loans for debt restructuring granted at below market rates. The outstanding loans and deposits at the end of the reported month as well as the volume of new loan/deposit contracts in the reported month do not include the accrued interest receivable/payable.
